Carlos Vizoso is a Jazz Graduate Assistant at The University of Florida and teaches Jazz Improvisation, Jazz Fundamentals 1, Jazz Fundamentals 2, Jazz Chamber Music and Jazz History. At the University of Florida, he received the Jim Theriac Jazz Scholarship, has headlined the Hippodrome Jazz Series, performed with Dr. José Valentino, percussionist Clyde Connor, and Scott Wilson.

He currently performs in the Central Florida area with several Billboard topping acts including Adam Hawley, Four80East, Brian Simpson, George Porter Jr. and Moon Taxi. In 2021, he released his solo album. He is currently focusing on the production of his textbooks on jazz improvisation and navigating the collegiate saxophone world.
