Through our Kenneth R. Tolbert Scholarship Fund, we award full and partial scholarships to disadvantaged young people for fee-based programs including private lessons and summer jazz band camp.
Applications for Summer Jazz Band Camp 2021 must be submitted by June 7th.
Applications are reviewed by a Clinician Panel. Scholarships are awarded based on available funding. Lessons are typically provided for one quarter each year.
A video must accompany applications with applicant playing the melody and improvising two choruses on a Jazz Standard. You may use a YouTube play-along or play-along of your choice.
