Hendricks has directed Orange County middle and high school bands for over 20 years at Ocoee High School and Robinswood Middle School. He is chairman of the Florida Music Education Association Multicultural Network. He has presented numerous workshops and clinics addressing a wide variety of music education topics at the district and state levels. An active member of the Florida Bandmasters Association, he has served as district secretary, treasurer and marching band assessment chair. He has also served on the Orange County fine arts curriculum team. Hendricks was named Teacher of the Year at Ocoee High School in 2007 and at Robinswood in 2000. He was recognized by School Band & Orchestra Magazine as the Florida representative for their 50 Most Influential Directors in 2007.
