Mickey Smith Jr. presented his See the Sound master class at Madison Middle School in Miami on Monday, April 10, 2023 An educator, encourager and musician, he inspires children and adults through his unique motivational mixture of music and message.
At the HAPCO master class, he performed as well as discuss how students can discover and “level up” their sound on their instrument – as well as the sound every individual brings to the life they live. He also donated a copy of his children’s book KEEP ON GOING to the school.
The master class was hosted by Madison Middle School’s Principal Anthony Simons and Band Director Schelvin Robinson.

Mickey has been named Teacher of the Year seven times and he received the 2020 GRAMMY® Music Educator Award.
