After realizing that he enjoyed the sound of the instrument , he quickly began to embrace it, in and outside of school. In High School he began to branch out in more competitions and eventually made the All-State band where he performed with the All-State Jazz Ensemble 2 in San Antonio, TX. Currently, DeVaughn is in the 3 o’clock lab band at the University of North Texas and plays in the DFW/Denton area regularly. After graduating college DeVaughn hopes to continue playing his instrument as well as pursuing jobs in the music business.
