Zach Balding is an aspiring jazz trumpet player born and raised in Miami, Florida. He began playing trumpet at age 11 and has since performed at the Brubeck Jazz Summit, Brevard Jazz Institute, and Skidmore Jazz Institute. Zach has shared the stage with Mike Rodriguez, Michael Dease, Steve Wilson, Tatum Greenblatt, Alex Norris, and many others. In 2025, he was awarded Outstanding Soloist by Wynton Marsalis at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Zach is currently a senior at New World School of the Arts and can be seen performing regularly at venues throughout Miami.
