Chef Anthony Fothergill will be teaching a free healthy nutrition class for seniors at Citrus Gardens on September 18. The class is part of HAPCO’s culinary arts program and is co-presented by DoubleTree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando.
Chef Fothergill will focus on healthy and budget-friendly shopping choices to make meals that are simple to prepare, nutritious and tasty. He will be demonstrating some of his favorite Florribean cuisine recipes – the pairing of Florida seafood with Caribbean vegetables.
His cooking creativity draws from the variety of vegetables and sauces rooted in Caribbean cuisine paired with the best of land and sea to accompany the varied flavors and textures. He is the executive chef at Doubletree by Hilton at the entrance to Universal Orlando as well as the owner of Anthony’s Catering and Consulting. He has delighted diners as an executive chef for over two decades.
