Alex Price and Robert Burns Jr. entertained The University Club members on Valentine’s Day

What an incredible duo! Longtime friends and collaborators Alex Price and Robert Burns Jr. entertained The University Club members on Valentine’s Day.

Alex is studying jazz performance at the University of North Florida and plays in one of their Jazz Ensembles and one of their jazz combos. He has played piano for the Florida Symphonic Jazz Orchestra (FSYO) top Jazz Band under the direction of Jeff Rupert, as well as synth for Heatwave Drum and Bugle Corp, 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corp and The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps.

Robert, who plays bass and guitar, is studying Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Florida. At UCF, he is the Community Outreach Director of the Orlando Chapter of Hearts for the Homeless, a nonprofit organization providing blood pressure screenings and advocating for cardiovascular health among the homeless and underserved community. He is also heavily involved in the university’s jazz program performing in the top jazz workshop and other groups under the direction of Richard Drexler and Bobby Koelble. He plans to attend medical school after graduation and keep playing music wherever life takes him.

We thank The University Club for supporting our HAPCO LIVE musicians!
