Jacob is a 14-year-old jazz bassist who has been playing for only two years and currently studies under Richard Drexler. He also studies percussion with Heather Thorn.

Jacob frequently plays with the J Street Jazz Combo performing at Pilar’s Martini, The Melting Pot, The Blue Bamboo, The Orlando Fusion Fest, and private parties. For the past two years, Jacob has been a member of the Florida Symphonic Jazz Orchestra (FSYO) top Jazz Band, where he plays bass under the direction of Jeff Rupert. Jacob is currently a freshman at Lyman High School and is a member of the front ensemble, playing percussion for the school’s marching band. He is a straight-A student who is mature, dependable and has a passion for jazz.
