Join us at our free, non-competitive jazz clinic for middle and high school bands and individual students.
Jazz band directors and students will learn from professional clinicians who emphasize individual creativity, team spirit and real-world experience. Includes clinician critique of performances, workshops and master classes. Clinicians will cover topics including improv; the music industry business; industry careers; university-level music program options and applications; working as a professional performer; vocal performance; and music theory.
Open to middle and high school jazz students. Individual students can attend without their school jazz band. Lunch provided. The event will adhere to all CDC pandemic guidelines current at the time of the event.

The clinic wraps up with the HAPCO Jazz Fest Ocoee at Lakeshore Center in Ocoee from 6-10 pm. UCF’s Flying Horse Big Band with Lenard Rutledge headlines the line up at this free public concert. The Ocoee High School Jazz Band will also perform. Grill favorites will be available for purchase; proceeds benefit the Ocoee High School Band program. Band Directors and students attending the clinic are encouraged to invite their families and friends.
HAPCO programs give young people real-world experience and education from professionals they can relate to. We are building futures through music and arts education in Florida, Georgia and Texas. HAPCO provides clinics, camps, classes, an instrument donation program and LIVE performances.
