Jordan Bolds
Jordan Bolds

Jordan is a Freshmen at the University of Central Florida, and a member of Bethel Metropolitan Baptist Church, where he serves as the church saxophonist.  If you live anywhere in the bay area, you have no doubt heard about this young man and his incredible gift as an alto saxophone player.

He is the son of Mr. Terrence and Dr. Angela D. Bolds, and the brother of Joel Tayler Bolds.

Jordan is an accomplished saxophonist and has been playing for approximately eight years. He first discovered his love for music and the saxophone in the 4th grade while attending St. Petersburg Christian School where he became a member of the band.

Pastor Rickey Welch of 34th Street Prayer Tower in St. Petersburg taught both Jordan and his brother the rudiments of their music.  Pastor Welch soon discovered the gift in both Jordan and his brother and he began to push them out front, giving them various solo and duet segments during the Sunday morning worship service.  It is from this point the brothers recognized and embraced their love for their musical gifts.

Jordan began to develop and perfect his gift and has participated in many church, community and social programs and contests.  He is a member of Northside Christian’s marching band, jazz band and concert band and has won many awards including 1st place winner of the 2016 Power of Song: Sounds of the Civil Rights Movement program held in St. Petersburg, FL and 1st place winner of the 2017 Greatness Beyond Measure program held in Bradenton, Florida. In addition to this, Jordan has opened up for gospel artists, Todd Dulaney and Marvin Sapp.

Jordan has a strong spiritual life and is filled with the Holy Spirit.  He is part of the Sunday Crew/Konnected to Christ gospel youth/young adult band based out of St. Petersburg with whom he has traveled and ministered in various cities in Florida as well as other states. He is also the sax player for Keith Flournoy and the Posse, a live music group that caters to the more mature crowds, and performs on occasion with the Ethan Parker Band, a Christian Band out of Palm Harbor, FL. He has a very humble spirit and enthusiastically extends himself as both a minister and performer at weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, funerals, and other engagements.
