Erik Abernathy is an accomplished guitarist and upright bassist with a unique style inspired by many genres including Bebop, Brazilian music, gypsy jazz, classical guitar and blues. He received his BA in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Jazz Studies from the University of Florida. He performs in the North Central Florida area at venues including the Hippodrome Jazz Series, the Reilly Art Center Jazz Series, the Brazilian Music Institute and the Heartwood Soundstage.
