  • Explore how music has influenced history and culture.
  • Discover how it’s connected to and influences the present.
  • Compose music together and perform it at the Finale.
  • Learn music concepts including rhythm, time/beat, harmony and melody.
  • Understand different song forms and poetry/songwriting styles.
  • Experience the effects that music has on the human body, mind and things in nature.

HAPCO Educator Ricky Jackson loves to perform, entertain and teach. He works to develop programs that give disadvantaged youth access to music and arts education. He is committed to showing young people the benefits and positive effects that music can have in their lives and the lives of their families and communities. For over 10 years, he has taught youth and in-service learning programs while working in the music industry as an engineer, performer and producer. He graduated from the Florida International University in 2007.

In 2021, HAPCO Music Foundation is celebrating 20 years of community service. Since 2001, HAPCO has educated and inspired over 25,000 young people — encouraging them to use their musical, culinary and artistic talents to fund their college education or to pursue professional careers. www.hapcopromo.org

Finding the Lost Sheep Ministry seeks to minister to the lost souls in the communities where criminal activity is at its highest. The non-profit works to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the lost. Their mission is to find, to feed, and to be a light to God’s lost sheep.
